Word is that Frank Yallop and the Earthquakes say they are currently negotiating with the 31 year old playmaker.
Antônio Naelson Matias (born May 23, 1976 in Sao Paulo), also known simply as Zinha, is a Brazilian-Mexican football player, who is currently playing as midfielder for Club Toluca, where he is called "El Toñito".
Naelson stands at 5 ft 4 in and weighs 147 lb and is often the shortest player on the field. Zinha was recently called up for the Mexican national team under coach Hugo Sanchez for the friendly against United States on February 6 2008. He is Currently the team captain of Toluca.
Here's a video of Zinha scoring against Iran in the World Cup 2006.
What do you think of this possible addition to the Quakes? Is this the type of player they need?
