Quakes Trialing England International Michael Ricketts

Former EPL stalwart Michael Ricketts is training with the Quakes currently and looking to revive his career. Ricketts turned professional at 18 years old with Walsall. He's now 29 years old and has one cap for England. He last played for Oldham Athletic scoring 7 goals in 20 appearances. He was released by Oldham in January and is available on a free transfer. The 6 foot 1 inch forward has bounced around the second division in England in recent years battling various injuries. His best years were with Bolton when he scored 24 goals in 2000, 15 in 2001. John Doyle says the Quakes are not expecting him to come straight into the first squad, but see how he looks initially in the reserve squad though he would obviously be in a senior roster spot. Overall career totals Apps As sub Goals Yellow Red Total (Club) 260 (126) 66 33 1 League 226 (111) 56 28 0 FA Cup 13 (5) 4 2 0 League Cup 17 (9) 5 3 0 European/Others 4 (1) 1 0 1

Let's hope he refinds that scoring touch and is a solution for the Quakes up front!

That's ROHAN Ricketts in the video, who is currently on trial at Toronto I believe. MICHAEL Ricketts is much fatter.
